How is this different from an app like Duolingo?

Apps are good for vocabulary and grammar drills, but they can't hold a real conversation with you. Every Speaking Desk session is a live, 1:1 conversation with an actual coach, built around the specific situation you're preparing for — not a scripted exercise.

Do I need to already speak the language well?

No. Whether you already have the grammar and vocabulary or are just starting out, sessions are shaped around your actual level and goals.

Can I reschedule or cancel a session?

Yes — just reach out ahead of your scheduled time and we'll help you find a new slot with your coach.

Is this only for adults, or can kids join too?

All ages. We regularly work with kids on heritage-language retention and with adults and professionals on everyday or work-specific scenarios.

Why do Urdu and Polish cost more?

Pricing reflects a smaller available pool of qualified coaches for those two languages relative to demand — not a difference in session length or quality.
